David Chauncy is a guide of thresholds—of the spaces between inhale and exhale, between holding on and letting go, between who we have been and who we are becoming.
Born under the big skies of Griffith, NSW, the son of a rice farmer, David grew up in the company of sheep, rice, and the sound of crows. Even now, when the crow calls, he hears his father’s voice—“They’re watching”—and remembers that all things are in relationship. You can take the boy out of the country, but you cannot take the country out of the boy.
David’s path winds through the circuitry of IT, the silence of meditation halls, the pulse of the dance floor, and the stillness of the deathbed. In every place, the same question echoes: What moves you, really? In response, he has trained in Chi for Two® Embodiment Coaching, Clarity Breathwork, trauma-aware yoga, ecstatic dance, and shamanic movement with Ya’Acov and Susannah Darling Khan.
He now offers this medicine through Embodied Life Journeys—an invitation to step out of your own shadow, to dance again with the healer and the child within, and to repattern the old stories that shaped you before you had a voice.
Walking Beside You is David as a friend beside you when you need him and his own experience of Bilateral Knee Replacement surgery.
In Chi for Two®, David guides clients through the energetic dance of relationship—the primal choreography written into our nervous systems, our gestures, our longings. With reverent attention, he offers the chance to redo early relational patterns, not through talk, but through presence, rhythm, and somatic resonance. This is not therapy. This is soul remembering.
David walks with you in times of grief, rebirth, disorientation, and desire. And though he has studied with masters, David’s greatest teachers remain the crow, the ocean, the pause between breaths—and the people brave enough to say yes to themselves.
